VertiSheer Blinds Malaysia

The softness of curtains. The control of blinds.

Kova VertiSheer combines soft sheer fabric with adjustable vertical vanes, giving you flexible control over daylight, privacy and your outside view — all within one clean window system.

Designed especially for large windows, sliding doors and glass walls, it creates a softer, more elegant look than conventional vertical blinds while keeping the space light and easy to use. Every system is made to measure and installed by our own team.

02/Why choose VertiSheer

Somewhere between a curtain and a blind.

You get the soft movement and visual warmth normally associated with curtains, together with the adjustable light and privacy control of vertical blinds.

  1. Soft, curtain-like appearance

Traditional blinds can make a large window feel rigid. Soft fabric vanes create a lighter, flowing look across full-height windows and sliding doors — a refined finish without the visual weight of heavy curtains.

  2. Control light without closing the room

Open the vanes for soft daylight. Rotate them for privacy or less direct sun. Draw the whole system aside when you want the door completely open. One system, different moods through the day.

  3. Made for wide windows

Because the fabric runs vertically, the design naturally complements tall and wide openings.

    • Sliding glass doors
    • Balcony doors
    • Full-height windows
    • Wide living-room windows
    • Large glass walls
  4. Walk through with ease

Unlike a roller blind that has to be raised before you step outside, the vertical configuration lets you pass through a large door opening without resetting the blind. Practical for balconies, patios and indoor-outdoor living.

  5. Modern without feeling cold

Minimalist doesn't have to mean plain. The sheer layers bring texture and movement into the room while keeping a clean architectural line — elegant without going back to traditional curtains.

03/Turn the vanes

More than open or closed.

Rotating the vanes changes how much daylight and visibility enter the room — and drawing them aside clears the opening entirely. Try both below.

04/Sheer daylight vs privacy

Three settings, one system.

The same blind gives you an open, welcoming daytime room and a private evening one — without changing anything but the angle of the fabric.

Sheer daylight mode

Sheer daylight mode

Rotate the vanes open and the sheer fabric filters natural daylight into the room. The light feels softer and less harsh while keeping a connection with the view outside.

Ideal for daytime, when you want the home bright and welcoming.

Partial privacy

Partial privacy

Turn the vanes slightly and visibility drops while daylight still reaches the room. Useful for condominiums, street-facing homes and rooms facing neighbouring properties.

Instead of blocking everything, you decide how open the space should feel.

Privacy mode

Privacy mode

Rotate the vanes further closed and the opaque portions overlap for greater coverage, while keeping the soft appearance of the system.

That's how the room moves from an open daytime atmosphere to a private evening one.

Is VertiSheer blackout?

No — and we'd rather say so up front. VertiSheer is designed for soft daylight, flexible privacy and elegant coverage across big openings. If your main priority is making a bedroom extremely dark, a dedicated blackout roller blind is the better tool for that job.

A palette that behaves itself.

Five colours in the Pivot collection. Consider the colour alongside your flooring, wall tone, furniture and lighting — neutrals give a quiet architectural look, warmer tones make the room feel softer.

06/Best spaces

Where the window is the room.

VertiSheer works best where both the opening and the atmosphere matter — large glass, and rooms people actually sit in.

Living room

This is where VertiSheer really shines. During the day, open the vanes and let filtered light fill the space. When the afternoon sun turns strong or you want more privacy, rotate the fabric.

Its soft appearance also makes a large living-room window feel finished without making the interior feel heavy.

Recommended

Large windows · Condo living rooms · Modern landed homes

Sliding doors & glass walls

Large sliding doors are hard to cover elegantly. Roller blinds need raising before you use the door; curtains take up real space when stacked.

VertiSheer moves horizontally with the opening. Opened, the vanes stack neatly to one side. Closed, they form a continuous soft layer across the glass.

Recommended

Balcony doors · Patio doors · Full-height glazing · Wide openings

Dining area

Natural light without harsh glare. The sheer layer keeps the room bright at breakfast and lunch, and the vanes adjust later as the sun moves.

It also creates a softer backdrop around the table — particularly with warm lighting, timber furniture and neutral interiors.

Recommended

Dining rooms · Open-plan living · Feature windows

Bedroom

Works in bedrooms where look and flexible privacy matter more than maximum darkness. Sheer during the day, vanes closed at night.

For light-sensitive sleepers we may suggest pairing it with a blackout solution, depending on the room and window configuration.

Master bedrooms · Guest rooms · Soft-daylight bedrooms

07/VertiSheer price in Malaysia

Priced by the opening, not a package.

Every VertiSheer system is made to the actual opening, so there's no single fixed price for every home. Five things move the number.

Window width & height

A large sliding door needs more fabric and hardware than a standard window — total dimensions are the biggest single factor.

Fabric selection

Colours, textures and specifications sit in different ranges. We'll show you what's available at consultation.

Manual or motorised

A manual system generally costs less. Motorisation is worth considering on very wide openings.

Number of openings

One sliding door is a different job from a whole home. We quote your actual requirement, not a package.

Installation conditions

Ceiling height, mounting location, access and the structure around the window affect the final specification.

Factory-direct

No distributors, wholesalers or retail showrooms in between. Measurement through to installation is ours.

A premium-looking window solution without the retail mark-up.

You're paying for fabric, hardware, workmanship and installation — not for the handling costs of everyone the blind passed through on the way to your window.

08/Made to measure

Large windows leave no room for error.

Every Kova VertiSheer is made for the exact opening it will be installed in. The goal isn't simply that the blind fits — it should look like it was designed as part of the room from the beginning.

01

Tell us about your window

Send a photo of the area you'd like to cover, with rough measurements if you have them, and tell us what you're trying to achieve. From there we can say whether VertiSheer is right for the space.

“My sliding door gets too much afternoon sun.” · “I want privacy but still want natural light.” · “I like curtains, but I want something cleaner.” · “I have a very wide glass wall.”

02

Free on-site measurement

We measure the actual opening and check the conditions that decide how the finished system should be configured.

  • Width and height
  • Ceiling or wall mounting
  • Sliding-door direction
  • Available stacking space
  • Furniture and access
  • Sunlight direction

03

Choose your fabric

See and compare the actual materials against your flooring, wall colour, furniture, lighting and interior style. Neutrals give a quiet architectural look; warmer tones make the room feel softer.

04

Confirm the configuration

Once measurements, fabric colour, opening direction and operating system are confirmed, your VertiSheer is made to those specifications.

05

Professional installation

Our team installs the system, checks the alignment and makes sure the vanes move and rotate properly across the full opening.

09/Motorised VertiSheer

Wide openings deserve a considered mechanism.

Instead of drawing the blinds manually across a wide opening, motorisation lets compatible configurations run electronically.

Motorisation earns its place as the opening grows — or when several panels should move as one.

Wide glass walls

Where drawing by hand means walking the full width of the room.

Large sliding doors

Heavy runs of fabric that benefit from a consistent, even draw.

Multiple panels

Several VertiSheer systems that should open and close together.

Smart-home projects

Scheduled operation alongside the rest of the house.

Hard-to-reach installations

High-level or obstructed openings you can't comfortably operate by hand.

Should you motorise? Not necessarily. For a smaller, frequently used sliding door, manual operation often works perfectly well. We'll assess the dimensions and tell you honestly whether it's worth it.

10/Cleaning & maintenance

Delicate to look at, simple to look after.

VertiSheer uses fabric components, so cleaning should be gentler than with aluminium venetians. Not sure which fabric you have? Send us a photo and we'll advise.

Remove dust regularly

A feather duster, microfibre duster or vacuum with a soft brush on low suction. Move gently along the individual vanes.

Spot clean when needed

Dab small marks with an appropriate soft cloth. Avoid heavy rubbing, aggressive chemicals and soaking unless the fabric specifically allows it.

Keep the track clear

The headrail is what lets the vanes travel smoothly. Don't let furniture or debris obstruct the system.

Handle the vanes gently

Use the intended mechanism to open, close and rotate rather than pulling individual vanes. On motorised systems, keep the path clear — and if it behaves oddly, stop and call us rather than forcing it.

11/VertiSheer Blinds Malaysia FAQ

Questions we get asked.

  • A vertical window covering that combines soft sheer fabric with adjustable fabric vanes. The vanes rotate to change the balance between natural daylight, outside visibility and privacy.

  • Traditional vertical blinds use individual solid slats. VertiSheer builds sheer fabric and fabric vanes into the design, so the result feels closer to a curtain while keeping the directional control of a vertical blind.

  • Yes — sliding doors and wide glass openings are where it works best. The system moves horizontally, which matches how a sliding door is actually used.

  • Yes, it's particularly suited to large openings and glass walls. The final configuration depends on total dimensions and installation conditions, which we check at measurement.

  • Yes. Rotating the vanes changes visibility through the blind, and they can be turned towards fully closed for stronger privacy. Performance also depends on the lighting inside versus outside the home.

  • It shouldn't be treated as a full blackout system. Its strengths are soft light control, privacy flexibility, large-window coverage and appearance. If maximum darkness is the priority, ask us whether a blackout roller blind suits that room better.

  • Yes, for suitable installations. The best setup depends on the size and configuration of the opening and how you want to control it.

  • Yes, particularly if you prefer soft daylight and a fabric appearance. Homeowners who need maximum darkness for sleeping may want a stronger blackout solution instead, or in addition.

  • Routine maintenance is gentle dusting or low-suction vacuuming. Because the components are fabric, cleaning should be gentler than with aluminium venetian blinds.

  • Curtains mainly open and close horizontally. VertiSheer also rotates its vanes, giving you another level of control over daylight, visibility and privacy without opening the system at all. It generally reads cleaner and more structured around large glass.

  • Yes. Each system is measured and configured to the actual opening rather than a standard ready-made width.
